Prayer Journaling
What is prayer journaling and how is it beneficial?
Through different seasons of my life, I have found I’m able to draw near to Him easily... while at other times it is more of a struggle. I have tried many ways of journaling my prayers, and it has helped me to block out the outside world and rid myself of distraction, while growing in my understanding of who God is and my own identity in Christ. I’ve created a Prayer Journal to equip others to do the same in one organized, easy to understand place and I am so excited to finally be able to share it with you!
To me, prayer journaling is simply recording your conversations with God. You can do this in a variety of ways, like using a blank notebook and just writing out your prayers or using a specific template. I have personally tried both of those methods and everything in between.
It is beneficial for so many different reasons and I highly suggest everyone tries prayer journaling in some way. Here are a few of my top reasons to journal your prayers:
Remember the prayer requests of family and friends
Stay on task
Form a habit
Deepen your relationship with God and others
Encourage you in the Word
and one of my favorite reasons is to SEE GOD WORK. Keeping a prayer journal can help you keep track of answered prayers and allows you to give Him the praise He rightfully deserves.
It is my heart’s desire to help women grow in their love for God through His Word and relationship with Him. Give yourself grace as you begin, and pray for His help and guidance. He alone is worthy of all our praise! For He is our shepherd. He restores our souls. He gives us comfort. May we dwell in the house of the Lord forever! (Psalm 23)
